Abstract

This article presents the results of research concerning plants growing in the desert and semi-desert areas of Atyrau region and their adaptation to the environment. A number of features of the anatomical structure of the vegetative organs of the common Harmala (Peganum harmala L.), which is considered an indicator of desertification, have been studied. Currently, the study of the biological characteristics of plants in the region is an urgent problem, which is associated with the problem of desertification.
