Neonatal screening for congenital hypothyroidism and the results of a retrospective analysis

Abstract

This paper includes the data on immunofluorometric studies of thyreotropic hormone concentration in newlyborn children of Almaty, which were born in 2011. From 35793 newly-born screened 8 have been shown to supper from innate (congenital) hypothyroidism. According to the results of a retrospective analysis obtained in 2004-2012 congenital hypothyroidism was diagnosed in 54 children. Disease frequency has made up the ration 1:4700.
