Abstract

Genetic analysis of traits in modified plants using reciprocal crosses showed that these traits are inherited in mutants regardless of the direction of the crossing. Phenotypic alterations in modified plants from control varieties were accompanied by violations in meiosis. Older generation (M6) of mutants, selected for practical breeding, proportion of cells with abnormalities in meiosis is significantly reduced in comparison with meiotic mutants M1 - M3. Phenotypic change in mutant plants is steadily inherited from generation to generation.
