Abstract

It was taken mutant strains of green microalgae Chlamydomonas reinchardtii: SS-124y-1, SS-124y-2, CC-124р-1, SS-124р-2 by induced mutagenesis techniques. It was studied the effect of different concentrations of cadmium on the survival of wild and mutant strains of Chlamydomonas reinchardtii. Mutant strain SS-124 p-2 showed a high sensitivity to low concentrations of cadmium ions was proposed to be used as a test object for assessing the ecological status of aquatic ecosystems contaminated with heavy metals.
